Support Your Sister

Pear-Laine’s ‘pay-it-forward’ scheme ‘Support your Sister’ is for our newly diagnosed breast cancer customers to support them with the start of their post-surgery journey.

Did you know that in the UK, people with breast cancer get financial support under the NHS with wigs and prothesis (if needed), but not for bras?

When you have been newly diagnosed with breast cancer, undergone surgery, maybe facing further treatment, financing replacement bras (especially right now), shouldn’t be something to worry about.  To help, in March 2023 we launched our pay-it-forward scheme Pear-Laine's-Support-your-Sister.  This pay-it-forward scheme finances their first bra.

For those post-surgery, a good fitting bra is so important, it can make such a difference, it helps with their recovery, their comfort, and their confidence.  Ladies generally need a post-surgery bra for immediately after surgery and once they are recovered from their surgery, they will need to have a good fitting bra which is suitable for a mastectomy.

What can you do to help?

You can donate any amount you would like to this fund, in-store or online and it will buy a 'voucher'.  Newly diagnosed post-surgery customers can either have an amount off a bra or ONE free bra using this fund (depending on how much is in the fund at the time).

or

You could purchase one of our 'boob' related items and all proceeds go into the fund. Our boob items are a perfect gift for someone and you're helping others at the same time.

Have you been impacted by breast cancer? see more information on the services we provide for those that have had surgery.

Some feedback from People we have helped:

Hi Anna,
I just wanted to message to say a massive thank you for the bra I received from the support your sister fund. It has helped so much with helping me to start feeling more like me. It is such a thoughtful and caring initiative to set up. I am extremely thankful to the kind people who donated towards the fund.
Thanks again! Cheryl

Thank you is not really enough words to say, Anna, for what you have done for me today. You have started me on my journey of rediscovering my mojo, the tears were good tears, and thank you for the hugs too. I will wear my new bras with joy as I start on the road of living life to the full once more.
xx
